Taped! by Steve Bedwell – Video Download

The act that stunned the judges and earned one of magic’s most coveted honours!

In 1994, British magician Steve Bedwell travelled to Orlando, Florida, to compete in the Close-Up competition. He left with First Place and the prestigious IBM Gold Cups, an honour reserved for a select few in the history of magic.

Taped! gives you the opportunity to watch the legendary Walkman Act that helped secure Steve’s place among the elite, along with a hilarious 20-minute performance set featuring some of his strongest magical material.

With a distinctive blend of comedy, deceptive technique, and astonishing magic, Steve Bedwell demonstrates how to turn clever methods into truly entertaining performances.

What's Included?

At a Loose End

Steve’s signature three-phase rope routine. A highlight of his lectures, this original and baffling sequence combines strong magic with an engaging presentation.

“It Doesn't Matter” Estimation Aces

A variation on Ed Marlo’s classic Ace-cutting routine, offering a clever approach to locating all four Aces.

Subtle Travellers

Four signed cards invisibly travel to four different pockets in a powerful card routine that combines impossible locations with strong audience impact.

Parked Card!

A signed selection repeatedly travels from the deck to the top of the card case, right under the audience’s nose. On the final phase, the card ends up folded inside the case.

Cloudburst Catch

A selected card is lost in the deck. The cards are sprung into the air, and the chosen card is caught in mid-air in a highly visual revelation.

The Dribble Toss Control

A deceptive control for a selected card, designed to look natural and convincing. The method was strong enough to fool the respected card magician Larry Jennings.

Convincing Fold

A method for secretly controlling and folding a selected card under apparently natural actions.
