Royle’s Smash and Stab by Jonathan Royle – Video/Book Download

A high-impact Russian Roulette-style mentalism routine built around suspense, psychology, and a powerful professional presentation.

In Royle’s Smash and Stab, Jonathan Royle shares his professional approach to the classic Smash & Stab plot, presenting a theatrical routine designed to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.

This release includes two different methods for performing the effect, along with the presentation and performance elements that help make Royle’s routine distinctive. One method uses a main prop available from magic dealers, while the manuscript primarily explores an alternative approach with instructions for making your own props at home.

Beyond the method itself, the real value lies in the complete professional routine: the atmospheric music, special video, hypnotic-style verbal psychology, and carefully structured presentation that build tension and audience engagement.

A Routine That Plays Big

Designed to pack small while delivering a powerful stage impact, Royle’s Smash and Stab combines suspense, audience participation, and a dramatic finale. The routine uses six numbered cups and a metal nail as part of its presentation, with audience members choosing numbers as the performer faces the apparent danger.

The supplied performance material also includes a warning video that establishes the theatrical premise and emphasizes that the effect must never be attempted casually or without the proper method and precautions.

The routine has received praise from mentalists and performers, including Peter Turner, Eddie Burke, Gary Kennedy, and Norwegian illusionist Carl De Rome, who have highlighted its originality, entertainment value, and suspenseful presentation.

Who Is It For?

This release is intended for mentalists and performers interested in professional stage presentations, audience psychology, and theatrical suspense. Even if you already perform a version of Russian Roulette, the presentation and performance rights may offer significant value.

Important safety note: This is a dangerous-looking theatrical effect. Any performance must follow the supplied professional method and safety instructions exactly. Never improvise with sharp objects or expose an audience member or performer to actual risk.
