Novo by Alan Rorrison – Video Download

A borrowed banknote. One simple hand movement. An astonishing transformation.

With Novo by Alan Rorrison, you get a highly visual bill switch designed to leave your spectators absolutely stunned. Borrow a banknote from a spectator and, with a simple wave of your hand, magically transform it into a bill of a different value—or double its value right before their eyes.

Novo was created for real-world performance: it is quick to set up, practical in live situations, and requires no elaborate misdirection. The demonstration video shows the effect in a single, unedited take, allowing you to see exactly what your spectators will experience.

Key Features of Novo

• Lightning-fast setup: Once you have mastered the technique, you can set up Novo with paper money in under five seconds.

• Highly visual: The transformation happens with a simple hand movement, making the effect clear and striking for your audience.

• Wide viewing angle: Novo can be performed within an approximately 180-degree viewing angle. As with most bill switches, the only particularly unfavorable angle is directly from behind.

• Completely ungimmicked: You only need two ordinary, ungimmicked banknotes—no additional gimmicks or special accessories.

• Everything can be examined: The borrowed bill at the beginning and the bill at the end can both be inspected. If you wish, you can even let the spectator keep the final bill.

• Works with different currencies: Novo can be performed with various currencies. Depending on the material and characteristics of the banknotes, some may require more practice than others.

You receive a downloadable MP4 video with a running time of just under 30 minutes. Alan Rorrison explains everything you need to know about preparing, learning, and performing Novo.

Please note: Novo works particularly well with paper banknotes. Plastic banknotes may require additional practice. US dollar bills may also take a little more work to make the move look perfectly natural and convincing.

Alan himself has performed Novo hundreds of times at the Magic Castle using borrowed money. With practice, you’ll have a practical and visual bill switch that is ideal for close-up magic.
